My Story

To say my career has been eclectic would be an understatement. From musician to military to coach across 30 years I finally made my way to France, with my French husband in 2022. I adore candles but struggled to find ones I liked. I’d started making them in the UK, imagining that ‘it couldn’t be that hard’ but my first attempts saw me put everything back in the cupboard.

However, I turned to candle making again shortly after moving countries. I lost myself in the creativity and research and calmed my mind. It occurred to me that candles offer a moment of reflection or evoke memories, through the appearance of the flame and the candle itself, the sensations they provide, or through the scent emitted.

As a coach, reflection and subconscious thought are at the heart of my work. That's why I decided to associate each candle with a specific text that explores the theme contained in its Latin name. What better way to read and reflect with a candle sat next to you. The texts offer ideas, techniques and thought-provoking prompts that encourage self-discovery and personal development while stimulating the subconscious mind.

It's simply an opportunity to reflect, even to try out some techniques in the comfort of your own home. There's no pressure to interact with anyone else or incur any additional expense, other than the candle itself, which I hope you'll enjoy.
